Cookout time!

Cookout time! Acts 2:42 Ministries is planning a neighborhood cookout for this Sunday. The forecast looks dry right now! Pray it continues and people feel the love of Jesus.

Handling Discouragement

"“But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find him. When he is at work in the north, I do not see him; when he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him.” (Job 23:8-9) Ministry is messy and not for the weak at heart. A lot has happened here the past few months at Acts 2:42 Ministries that is discouraging. Despite years of prayer and building relationships, it seems like people are drifting farther apart and want less to do with God. To be honest, in my flesh it is easy to want to give up and not see how God is working. Job had awful circumstances. It would have been easy to “curse God and die” (Job 2:9b). Yet Job did not. Job 23 goes on

Back-to-school blessings

While it is the middle of the summer, Acts 2:42 Ministries ( is planning to buy back-to-school supplies for the students it works with. Some pictures from last year are posted. Please consider donating to help these students feel ready for the first day of school. You can give by clicking on one of the following links:

Happy 70th Birthday!

Happy 70th birthday to a great Dad, Dennis Doerr. I always remember as a kid him making to be at my sporting and musical events. It is isn’t easy when you are a minister as that carries many needs. I am thankful to have a role model that continues to glorify God as he serves and blesses those around him. It has definitely motivated starting Acts 2:42 Ministries.
