Acts 2:42 Ministries has worked on updating its logo as well as adding one. First, Acts 2:42 Ministries has updated its logo to better reflect Acts 2:42 (apostle’s teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer). There is also a new logo for the Lego® STEM Challenge Club. As the club is geared towards younger students, the values are faith, fun, and friendship are in the logo. Your thoughts on the logos?

Difficult but necessary. On the eve of returning to my school job, this is how I would describe the Summer. Difficult because it was days and days of sitting and planning for the Lego® STEM Challenge Club. But necessary because the extensive planning will be used for future clubs. This will allow Acts 2:42 Ministries to pursue more partnerships thereby impacting more students through the club’s faith, fun, and friendship values. I am looking forward to getting out beyond thes

Some more fun at Building Hope in the City. This time we used 3 different types of launchers and 2 different projectiles (cotton ball, Lego brick) to see what worked best. After experimenting, students came up with some great answers as to why one launcher and projectile works better than others.

Thank you to Building Hope in the City for allowing the Lego® STEM Challenge Club to run. Today we looked at Nehemiah leading the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls. Then we worked together to build forts. More fun in store later this week!

Thank you to Calvary Assembly of God for allowing the Lego® STEM Challenge Club to run this morning. After reading about the earthquake and surrounding events that Paul and Silas experienced in Acts 16, students designed towers to withstand a simulated earthquake.

Thank you to the City Mission for allowing the Lego® STEM Challenge Club to run this week. The students heard about God through the Bible, Legos®, and STEM activities such as the dirty water filter seen in the picture.

A lot of work getting ready for running the Lego® STEM Challenge Club at the City Mission next week. Due to the amount of students, several activities will run at once. This means writing clear directions on how to run the stations. This is taking a significant amount of time; however, it will make the club more marketable. First, it can serve more students at once. Happy Birthday to a great and inspirational Dad. So proud of him. Even in retirement still serves those in the community. Here he is leading a service at an independent living facility.

Thank you Abide Assembly of God for allowing the Lego® STEM Challenge Club to come. Thankfully, the sun was out so we could enjoy the solar robots. The video was setting off several Coke and Mentos bottles.
